420 SILVER COACH: Cameron
I am currently finishing up 4th year at the University of Waterloo, Honours BSc Kinesiology. I have sailed my whole life and completed all of my learn to sail levels including gold. Raced competitively in the Laser class for many years, was a former member of the Ontario Sailing Team. I have raced 420’s, Laser 2’s as well but at a lesser level. I also do a lot of keelboat racing out of Toronto on an IMX 38. This will be my 7th year coaching and 6th as a race coach. I have worked at Port Credit Yacht Club as a race coach, Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club as a head instructor and race coach, and worked here last year as a race coach. I love all sports and played rep baseball when I was younger and played a couple years of university football for the University of Waterloo.

BRONZE INSTRUCTOR: Sydney:
Sydney is new to the B.C.C. Junior Staff this summer. Joining us from Bronte Harbour Yacht Club (BHYC) where she previously sailed for 10 years and coached for 3 summers. Sydney is a certified ‘Learn to Race’ coach with one year experience as the race coach at BHYC. Sydney will be entering her third year at Carleton University in the fall in the Public Affairs and Policy Management program, with a major in International Studies. Her interests include sports such as sailing, basketball and rugby. Sydney is from Burlington Ontario and is in a family of 6. She has 3 sisters, one of which is her twin.
WHITE SAIL INSTRUCTOR: Paul
My name is Paul. I am 19 yrs old and live in St. Catharines with my parents and younger sister. I have just completed my second year at Brock University. I have enjoyed sailing since it was introduced to me at age 11. This will be my third year as a Green Sail certified sailing instructor with The Buffalo Canoe Club. During the last three summers I have lived areound the bay with my family at Sherkston Shores. In the winter I work as a lifeguard at a Niagara Falls hotel and enjoy snowboarding in my spare time.
OPTI INSTRUCTOR: Hi! My name is Joy and I have been spending my summers at the Canoe Club since I was born. I have been involved in the junior sailing program as a racer for many years and I have 3 siblings who take sailing lessons as well. Last year was my first year instructing at the BCC and I loved it! I am in grade 11 of high school and I love to read, sail and spend time with my friends and family. I love to sail all types of boats, but I especially enjoy sailing the lightning. I am on the Junior Lightning Team at the BCC and I have travelled all over the USA sailing this awesome boat. I am looking forward to this summer and I can't wait to meet all of you! Happy sailing :)
DAYCAMP! Meet Hope:
My name is Hope and I am 22 years old from Welland Ontario. I live with my Mom, Dad and my Brother, Dog, Fish, Crested Gecko’s and a Bearded Dragon, it can be like living in a zoo sometimes but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I graduated form Niagara College in 2006 with my diploma in Early Childhood Education. Since then I have been working with children of various age groups and having lots of fun. In my free time I love to doodle, paint, read and various other actives. I love working children and I cannot wait for the summer camp to begin we are going to have so much fun!
O'PEN BIC:
My name is TJ Wright and I am finishing up my first year at Hobart College. I have been sailing since I was six years old and participated in the junior sailing and the racing team at the BCC. This May I am taking the Blue course which certifies me to teach bronze level courses. This is my second year teaching at the BCC. At school I am studying biology to become a Dentist. I still constantly sail Lightnings, 420's and lasers and participate in any races that I can. I participated in the sunfish worlds and the lightning junior north americans last year. In previous years I have gone to many regattas including CORK.
TENNIS COACH: Leslie:
My name is Leslie and I am 21 years old from Niagara Falls, Ontario. I live with my family of five, two brothers, a mom, a dad and a dog. I just graduated from McMaster University with a Kinesiology degree and a minor in Psychology. I played varsity tennis at McMaster University for four years, as a captain of the team, ranked number one in singles, doubles and mixed doubles and also a two time MVP winner. I enjoy playing tennis, volleyball and beach volleyball and I love working with children.

COACH ASSISTANT: Michael
My name is Michael and I’m from Niagara Falls Ontario. I come from a family of five; one brother and one sister. I am currently finishing grade twelve at Saint Paul High School and I plan to attend Niagara College for Renovation technology. I have been playing soccer for over ten years; I am presently playing for my High School team and an Academy team as goalie. Over the years I have hosted my father’s soccer camps for young children. I enjoy working with kids and can’t wait for the summer to begin!
